The following are just a few of the horses Tim has worked with and helped with hoof issues.
TESTIMONIALS
“I had the vet out several times for my mares abscess. They told me on the last visit she would have to have surgery. I contacted Tim and he immediately came out and looked at my mare and started treating her. Within just a few days she was doing better, within a few weeks the abscess track was closing with no return of the abscess! My mare, Pearl is now doing great - all thanks to Tim! Highly Recommended!!

Sandy Thiele:
When Tim first started working with my mares' feet, they were in very bad condition. Her back feet were badly bruised and she could not be ridden. After six months, Tim had her completely sound with beautiful, healthy feet. She was kept barefoot and was able to be ridden anywhere. Now, Tim is working with my new mare who is 8 years old and has never had her feet cared for nor has she ever been taught to let someone handle her feet. Tim has gained her trust enough for her to let him work on her back feet and I expect great results. I have really learned a lot from Tim regarding horses' anatomy and especially how to care for their feet. Tim works as a partner with the owners to keep the total horse healthy and I really appreciate that!
Ellen Heid.
My name is Ellen Heid and I board my 14 year old quarter horse; Seis, at a ranch in Elsberry, Missouri.
Seis has had a history of foot problems. First he was in shoes and trimmed the "usual" way. I was not educated enough to know that he was being trimmed to short for his stature. I finally decided to take him out of shoes and try having him barefoot. He continued to be trimmed, supposedly for being barefoot, however I soon noticed that every 4 weeks his feet were "pancaked" out and he was not walking, trotting or cantering in a smooth gate; especially on rocky terrain. He also tripped quite a bit. I didn't know what was wrong but I knew something wasn't right.
I was introduced o Tim Wolfe 3 years ago. Tim looked at Seis at my request and evaluated his feet. The education that as ensued over the past 3 years has been astounding! Tim not only told me the problems but showed and explained in detail what was the problem. No one has noticed, or cared, that Seis had no heels, very little bares and his walls were in horrible shape. The goldline was non-existent and infection was everywhere (which would account for the tender footed nature along with everything else). To say the least he was not balanced. I hired Tim to start trimming my horse to be truly barefoot horse. There IS a difference.
Patience is the key. There is quite a bit of responsibility on the owners' part to do as instructed, which is how it should be. walking on concrete and sand to build up walls, off saddle, cleaning feet with antifungal product and scrubbing with a wire brush. Seis's feet did not get in this condition overnight and the cure was not going to be either. I followed what time said and within 3 months the improvement was remarkable. He continued to improve and I continued to be educated. The combination was priceless. Seis is a new horse and I can ride anywhere I want to go without shoes. He is balanced and his movement is sound.
Final thought: Tim wants to educated the owner, not just trim the horse. His first priority is the health of the horse, not you or your convenience. I respect and admire that foremost. He is not about a "quick fix" or "masking over the problem". He is a DEAP. He has gone to school and he knows everything about a horse's foot; farriers do not.
I trust him with my horse. I want the best for Seis and I now believe I have the best.

I can honestly say Tim Wolfe saved my horse's health, career, and life. I bought "Buddy" in 2010 as a mounted shooting prospect. He was born into and excelled as a Quarter Horse racehorse then became one of the head horses of a very distinguished and accomplished team roper. He had been hauled around and been exposed to so much that he took to the noise and intensity of mounted shooting like a natural. The only problem was his feet. He would come up lame once and a while at first, then more consistently. I was considering retiring him until I found Tim. He noticed something the vets and other farriers missed: Buddy's feet were becoming navicular from years of being shod and trimmed "like a Thoroughbred." After just one trim I could already see a difference in his gait and within 3 visits Buddy was a totally different horse. He now competes completely barefoot, has shaved seconds off his time, and the lameness is a thing of the past. I highly recommend Tim to any and all horse owners, regardless of breed and discipline. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable and excellent at what he does, but he genuinely cares about the well-being of the horses and the education of their owners. Thank you Tim for saving my horse!
